Currently im not in the best mental health space and find it hard to get up or even brush my teeth. So when ppl say I have sucj yellow teeth I get so anxious and completely shut down and/or hide my smile or anything like that.

As someone that struggled with severe depression and still struggle with depression currently,I must say that the lack of motivation is what makes us not brush our teeth. We don't feel like doing anything,we're unmotivated with everything,we get frustrated bc the hobbies we had before doesn't make us content and we have no motivation. The lack of motivation,difficulty of concentration and the endless feeling of emptiness. Even showering is hard,we end up caring more about others than ourselves,our hygiene sucks eventually.. Idk how many times I've gone days without showering but Ik it a lot,I hadn't brushed my teeth for months at some point aswell. Eating is also hard because we prefer laying down in bed and we only find out we're hungry because we hurt physicaly like headaches,nausea,fatigue..Eventually because we stopped eating like we did before our stomach becomes small,I used to take only a scoop of peanut butter and went on with my day. This what I experienced,I'm aware that others have had different experiences,some end up eating due to finding it comforting to do,depression is basicaly this endless cycle.

I have autism and was neglected and abused as a child, my teeth are rotten and horrible and I’m so ashamed, I haven’t been to a dentist in years because I went to one and she was horrible to me and hurt me and I’m so scared now of them. Thank you so much for this video 😭 I wish you could be my dentist 😭

This one kid in school calls me ‘corn teeth’ because of my yellow teeth and some girls in my one of my classes makes fun of me for them but I was born with yellow teeth

My husband has very bad teeth as a former drug addicted, now sober - wonderful man who dedicates his life to saving others going through addiction. It hurts my heart to think that people could make fun of him.

I was never taught to brush my teeth. I never grew up being told to brush my teeth. I got bullied for my breath stinking in year 5 so I was forced to brush my teeth. It’s a habit now

I wish people were more understanding sometimes. When I was a child my dentist told me that the yellow tint is a natural tint and unless I'll get it whitened there isnt really a way to get rid of it. Its not my fault they grew out the way they did. Also any kind of dental care is super expensive nowadays so I can't even get braces or something. I hate that I literally can't do anything about it and I'll still get made fun of for it

My bf got beat up by the police and lost most of his front teeth, he’s currently waiting to get the rest taken out so he can get a completely a new set, I can’t tell u the amount of times I had to defend him from my “friends”, or watch him hold back a smile bc he doesn’t want ppl to look at him sideways. people are cruel and only go based off of what’s right in-front of them, instead of asking why or how that happened.

I have very scaddered teeth and they are a bit yellow I get bullied a lot for them the amount of times I've cried over them is not funny I have been smiling without showing my teeth but I hate that everybody thinks it's a fake smile or when I laugh I cover my mouth (I open my mouth when I laugh A LOT) but thank you for making me feel better about them

I have no teeth. Yes that’s me in the thumb nail with out teeth. I have a medical condition so they were pulled. I can’t wear dentures due to bone loss.

I don't know what it's called in English, but I have chalk teeth. It's not my fault, I brushed my teeth twice a day, but they keep getting worse. If the doctor hadn't prescribed me antibiotics, this wouldn't have happened.

Just finished year 11 GCSE's, now practicing UCAT in my summer holidays so I'm prepared, thanks for this girl! I'm doing small amounts obviously though to prevent burnout, nothing intensive. I'm more focussing on familiarising myself with the style of questions and trying out some strategies till I find one that works best for me though, that's my advice to anyone who wants to do something similar, you must be careful when doing this.
